Stephen Amell jumps in the ring during ‘WWE Monday Night Raw’
Rollins says he never said anything about an open challenge and then asks Cesaro what he has ever done to earn a shot at his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Randy Orton vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens (Triple Threat Match) – Owens is going for a pop-up powerbomb on Cesaro when Orton slides back in the ring and RKOs Owens, then RKOs Cesaro and pins him. Despite getting his nose badly broken from an errant “fake” knee lift to the proboscis by Rollins during their Raw main event two weeks ago, there was no deviation (except maybe of his septum) from the planned length of the match and the high impact spots that were on the drawing board. As a fan, I like sports entertainers who tell a story in the ring. Them facing each other at WrestleMania 32 would be such a slog that the nosebleeds might suspect they’re staring at one of Rob Schamberger’s murals.
WWE is having to make good on Raw lately without a few key pieces but they have done it well, still putting on entertaining shows that are effectively building up to SummerSlam. Hopefully this isn’t the last we see of him in a WWE ring as he could be a valuable celebrity ambassador for the company in the future. We come back from the break with one of the most charismatic talkers today, Xavier Woods. Will it really take place this time?
This also meant the return of Intercontinental Champion Ryback, who seems fully recovered from a sudden staph infection that kept him out of action, finally giving him the showdown with Big Show and Miz previously teased for PPVs. “Arrow” star Steve Amell is tonight’s special guest and is coming after Stardust, who has been calling him out on social media.
The WWE newcomer took to Facebook to talk about the training for his upcoming bout, where he (Amell) will team with Neville to take on Stardust and King Barrett. There’s also the match-up between John Cena and Seth Rollins. With the way things are going Orton could win the 13th title in the very near future.
SIGN OF THE NIGHT “Turn Down for Wyatt”.
Ali and Mr. T had a real hatred for Piper and this spilled over into a boxing match between Hot Rod and the A-Team star at the same PPV one year later.
It’s a little non-issue, but Rollins telegraphed the ending of their match by jumping with his head out. He did not.
Or are you just looking for an entertaining night?
SEATTLE, United States-There are two prevailing schools of thought when it comes to villains as world champions. His twitter beefs and live confrontations with the unusual being known as Stardust have all led to this.
