And just previous year, the final Register poll in the Iowa Senate race showed Republican Joni Ernst with a 7-point lead, contrary to other polls that showed a much closer race with Democrat Bruce Braley.
The result Sunday was a blur of sometimes conflicting messages. Trump didn’t name any such senators, and none immediately emerged.

One development – the weather – was beyond the candidates’ control.
If Mr Trump wins in Iowa, he will still have 49 more states to convince to choose him over his Republican rivals. Republican John Kasich already had decamped to New Hampshire.
The prize in early states like Iowa, of course, has always been momentum.
Rubio’s campaign, though, is planning on third place and a long slog to the nomination. And Marco Rubio says, “So I had this thing going on last night-this debate. So obviously Sen. Cruz is anxious about my candidacy”, he said on Friday, Politico reports. I don’t think she’s really good at what she does.
“I think it has to do with being more of a traditionalist, science-based pollster”, she told the news website, explaining her remarkable accuracy.
“We keep having politicians who sound great on the trail and they don’t do what they say”, Cruz said when asked about his policy differences with Rubio. “Like the Academy Awards, this is like the Academy Awards!” said Donald Trump, (R) presidential candidate.
“What we’re seeing is if the old Reagan coalition coming together”. We’re going to be okay.
“I like Ted Cruz a lot”, Trump argued. An NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Thursday found Rubio at 18%, well behind GOP front-runner Donald Trump and Texas Sen. “Amnesty. The Republican Obama”.
Trump boycotted the debate after Fox News issued a sarcastic statement mocking him for attempting to have Megyn Kelly removed from the moderator team. “So he got beaten pretty badly last night”.
Even with the leads by both Clinton and Trump in their respective parties, the margins are quite narrow and no one is a true favorite.
