Stephen Curry clutch again, Golden State Warriors now at 21-0
Kyle Lowry, who has been the Raptors’ Steph Curry all season actually stayed right with the league’s leading scorer all evening, finishing with a career-high tying and season-high 39 points, but it wasn’t enough against this Warriors team that just won’t accept losing, improving to 21-0. While Curry’s stature has only grown since leaving the school in 2009 and developing into an NBA MVP with the Warriors, he has no objections to the school’s rules.
You gonna try to tell me that Luke Walton got something to do with Steph Curry pulling up from 30?!
Curry’s hard work even paid off for him, as he was recently named the Kia NBA Western Conference Player of the Month after the performance he put up in October and November. Considering the youth and talent of the Warriors as a team, Stephen Curry and his crew look like not just a team to beat this season, but like future legends primed to give the rest of the National Basketball Association a run for their money for years to come.
The Raptors might have made this even more interesting had Lowry and DeRozan hit their free throws in the final minute. Toronto was within a point with 15 seconds on the clock, before the Warriors pulled out the win with free throws. Klay Thompson added 26. The Raptors had a possession to tie the score with five seconds left, but Curry sealed the win after providing the pressure on an inbound pass that went for a Cory Joseph turnover. They dug themselves an 18-point first-half hole Thursday night, before battling back in a 106-105 loss to Denver. Kemba Walker shot poorly in the first half, not making one of his eight shots.
Guard Lowry led the Raptors with 41 points and seven assists in front of a crowd of 20,100 at the Air Canada Centre. The lead was down to 76-73 when Nogueira put in a dunk with 2:52 left in the third quarter. Due to the lack of an inside presence usually provided by center Al Jefferson who is now out for at least two weeks with a strained left calf, Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green were able to crash the glass and obtain offensive rebounds providing second chance shots.
“I have no clue, to be honest”, Jack said when asked about his big outings against Golden State. On the second anniversary of the death of former South African president Nelson Mandela, Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri hosted “The Giant of Africa”, an evening-long celebration of Mandela’s life and legacy. The Raptors played consecutive home games for the first time this season, the last team in the National Basketball Association to do so….

Raptors: Host the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. Curry dominated in the key third quarter and had Golden State in such complete control that he sat down for the fourth quarter.
