Stephen Curry has been incredible this season
The Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 112-108 on Wednesday behind seven 3-pointers from Stephen Curry.
Curry has already made a statement for why he could win MVP again this season, and given the fact that he’s the best player on the team and arguably the best player in the league, he will always be the Warriors’ go-to scorer and their leader. Attempting almost 11 three-pointers per contest, Curry is shooting an astonishing 51.9 percent from behind the arc.
Curry, who was named the Western Conference’s player of the week before the game, has been playing so spectacularly that his 30-point game actually dropped his scoring average to 37 per game.
“We are not the ‘Bad News Bears.’ We are a team that has championship aspirations, and for us to do that, we have to win”.
After four lopsided wins to open the season, the Golden State Warriors were happy to find themselves in a nail-biter for a change.
“He has to be able to work out and then not feel anything afterwards, and right now, when he gets done working out, he feels a little bit lightheaded and stuff like that”, interim head coach Luke Walton said.

Warriors forward Draymond Green said to ESPN on Curry’s stellar performance, “The second night of a back-to-back, it’s easy to say, ‘Ah, we ain’t got it. We’re exhausted.’ Not the way he took the game over”. Harrison Barnes scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. That was their strategy during the Western Conference semifinals in May, when they took the Warriors to six games. Having passed those tests, the Warriors now turn their attention towards the Denver Nuggets, a young team featuring a rookie point guard, and clearly on a rebuilding path.
In their third game, Curry’s streak hit during the third quarter, outscoring the opponent by himself, 28-26.
Our money is on the Warriors improving to 5-0 this evening with a big win over the Clippers.
Russell Westbrook scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half and finished with 16 assists. Like I said before, they’re a great team with a lot of great guys who have been together for awhile.
It’s also interesting to note that not only is the Warriors dominating the league, they are also dominating a few nifty basketball statistics.
Too many minutes of the wrong players (Crawford and Pierce especially) might have been the costliest mistake, although that’s obviously the hindsight genius in me writing this.
