Steven scores first goal for LA Galaxy
The Beckham boys, who are now spending part of the summer in Los Angeles, left Harper, 4, at home to spend the afternoon watching football.
But Gerrard left the pitch to a standing ovation after transforming the course of a match that San Jose looked set to win.

As he came off at half-time, having scored his first goal for the club when a deflection rolled nicely for him, Gerrard was spotted removing his shinpads at StubHub Center.
San Jose boss Dominic Kinnear is still without Innocent Emeghara and Steven Lenhart.
“I didn’t think I was going to play today. I offer different things and hopefully I offer the same level of success”. “But I have belief in myself…it was very pleasing to get off the mark and I was even more pleased for Robbie to get another hat trick”. “We got away from that, and they took advantage”.
“As the game went on, we were getting better and better”, said Keane, who shook off a serious pregame illness just to suit up. “But, when you are striking and scoring goals, and you continue to score goals, it gives you confidence”.
The former Liverpool and England captain finished from close range at the far post in the 37th minute to equalise after Galaxy had been 2-0 down.
Gerrard thought he had a brace late on but a spot-kick had been awarded, with Keane converting to complete his treble and seal the win.
“We had that chemistry [during Keane’s half-season with] Liverpool”, Gerrard said. Obviously two very good players and this is why we have Stevie Gerrard here. He’s done it here for many years.
“Whereas I know coming here on a Monday, come Friday or Saturday I’m going to be a big part of it and start”. Gerrard equalized minutes later, sweeping home from his right foot, after a deflected cross had made it’s way to him, scoring on his league debut. After the celebratory slide toward the Galaxy supporters, he blew a kiss to his family in the stands.
The 35-year-old’s equaliser was LA Galaxy’s second goal of the match after Keane had scored a penalty earlier.
Sebastian Lletget netted the final goal and his fifth of the season with a header off Robbie Rogers’ cross in stoppage time.
