Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, Nick Jonas on tap for Jazz Fest
The festival will feature performances by Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello, J. Cole, Flo Rida, and Neil Young.
Also of note: The program will feature at least two tributes to trailblazing artist who died in the past year: bluesman B.B. King and iconic New Orleans bandleader, composer and pianist Allen Toussaint.
Festival organizers released the talent lineup and the daily schedules Tuesday morning for the 2016 festival at the New Orleans Fairgrounds April 22-24 and April 28 to May 1. The 47th edition of the fest is set to take place April 2nd through May 1st, showcasing rock, pop, jazz, R&B and gospel artists, old and new.
Also coming to Jazz Fest this year are Lauryn Hill, Gov’t Mule, Boz Scaggs, My Morning Jacket, Buddy Guy and Johnny Lang.
Davis said the lineup has a wider range of artistic depth and variety than is typically available at most other festivals.

For each ticket sold, $3 will go to the Vitalogy Foundation, which supports nonprofit organizations doing work in community health, the environment, arts and education and social justice. For children ages 2-10, tickets are $5 at the gate.
