Sting and Peter Gabriel Announce Joint Tour
The tour, titled “Rock, Paper, Scissors” will hit 19 venues throughout the US and Canada, launching June 21 in Columbus, Ohio.
For their “Rock Paper Scissors” tour, the music legends won’t simply perform hits from their own catalogs, but explore each other’s tracks separately and together, Rolling Stone reported. Tickets for the Jones Beach show go on sale at 10 a.m. February 1 through Live Nation, with presale tickets available to Citi cardholders starting at 10 a.m. January 27. For complete tour and ticket information, go to wwww.livenation.com, www.petergabriel.com and www.sting.com.
Tickets are priced at $250, $125, $85 and $45.
“We traded songs, we traded musicians, we sang together. I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am”, Sting said in an official statement. Gabriel was last here in 1983, as one of David Bowie’s openers at Commonwealth Stadium.
Gabriel in particular has focused on experimentation as a solo artist and founded Real World Records and the Womad festival to bring a greater audience to global artists. The band released five studio albums, and earned six Grammy Awards.
