Sting to perform halftime show at NBA All-Star Game
Sting will perform at the game on Sunday, Feb. 14 at Toronto’s air Canada Centre. Drummond was fifth in frontcourt fan voting, and his chances to start the All-Star game were hurt by the fact that there is no center position in the fan vote, simply two guard and three frontcourt spots.
The reserves will be revealed during a special one-hour edition of “NBA Tipoff presented by Autotrader” featuring Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith. Other recent NBA All-Star game entertainers include Janelle Monae, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Rihanna and John Legend. He’s coming off a historic 56-point outing on Monday night, the most in Sacramento history. Last week, the former No. 1 overall pick averaged a double-double with 14.6 points and 11.3 assists. Clippers forward Blake Griffin did not make the All-Star team as a reserve after being involved in a fight last weekend with a team equipment manager.
For the East, Chicago’s Jimmy Butler made the team for the second consecutive season.
Toronto will host the All-Star game this season, taking place on Valentine’s day at 7:30.
