Stones delighted to finally become a Man City player
Everton thwarted Chelsea’s persistent attempts to sign Stones last season and it is believed they told the 22-year-old he would be allowed to leave this year if they received a suitable bid.
City value Bony at £13 million and are willing to pay an extra £40 million for Stones as it stands.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand said: “I think he needs to go or to commit his future to Everton”.
“I know it will be exceptional getting a spot in this party yet I’m made courses of action to wind up the best player I can be and help us to accomplishment”.
Stones claims his England pals Joe Hart and Raheem Sterling urged him to join, claiming they need him.
Now the club have announced the signing of the player themselves with their hand having been forced.
The Belgian striker has expressed his desire to leave the club and play for a top European club this summer, but it now seems Everton want to negotiate a deal with Lukaku.
Stones becomes City’s eighth signing of the summer, following deals for Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Aaron Mooy, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno.
“I was kind of sold already, but we get along so well so I’m sure when we’re in training it’ll feel like home”.
City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, said the club had “worked hard” to sign him and regard him as “one of the best central defenders in Europe”.
One eagle eyed fan spotted that the England centre half has already been registered in City’s squad for the qualifying round of the Champions League.
The news follows weeks of speculation that Stones was heading for the door at Goodison Park, and after a freakish situation in whichStones was included in City’s official Champions League squad list, completion of the deal seemed to be only a matter of time.
