‘Stranger Things’ Returning for Season 3 on Netflix
Stranger things have happened, sure, but it’s still worth noting the announcement Netflix made on Friday. With all the pop-culture references in Stranger Things, we wouldn’t put it past them. After season two premiered, Kerry’s description of the new season as “a little darker, a little clunker in a good way”, proved to be appropriate.
Cheers to more Dustin and Steve scenes!
However, Dart soon became a large and fearsome creature – that Dustin managed to keep a odd bond with.
It’s a similar deal for Noah Schnapp (Will), who IMDb reports already has two projects in post-production (We Only Know So Much, Abe) and one in pre-production (Intensive Care) lined up. It felt totally unnecessary, when we had the Snow Ball.
In that regard, the program has nearly as much in common, in varying degrees, with Stephen King’s “It”, “Back to the Future” and the first season of “True Detective”. The Duffer brothers confirmed this to THR as well, but how many years or months exactly is still unknown. That’s not only due to the excellent storytelling, but of course the awesome performances from its unbelievable ensemble cast, including Fill Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and, of course, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven.
STRANGE LOCATION Is Hawkins a real town? We didn’t want to box ourselves in for season three.
Given the one-year jump between the first and second seasons, Season 3 will most likely begin a year after the events of Snow Ball at the end of Stranger Things 2.
Despite the renewal, a confirmed release date has not yet been confirmed. (Um, remember that haunting last shot of the Mind Flayer?) And then there are the blossoming romances: Eleven and Mike!
