Street Fighter 5 to launch worldwide simultaneously
It is interesting to note that in the first gameplay trailer released by Capcom about Street Fighter 5 shows Ryu wearing the same outfit but in its most battered condition.
There are no such concerns for the upcoming title because it has been confirmed that Street Fighter 5 worldwide launch is going to take place on the same day.
With the beta withdrawn, many industry pundits were quick to point out that if the developer, Capcom, wanted to find out how the game performed, then they really got a bad taste of its performance. Nearly immediately after the beta kicked off, players started reporting having problems with it.
This led to Capcom issuing a statement on their website in which they described the problems as “very severe” and greater than what they had expected to encounter in the beta. Other players who did manage to log in were not excused from inconveniences as well, with some of them complaining about connectivity issues preventing them from being able to play the game properly, according to IGN.
So far, Capcom has not given an official release date for when they will resume the beta testing.
Street Fighter V was revealed to the world earlier this year, and at E3 2015 last month, Capcom promised a 2016 debut for the fighting game, not to mention several beta stages ahead of that period. Rosas also hinted at giving away rewards to those who played and participated in the first beta, saying “we are working on incentives for the players who participated in the first Beta test. While we can’t confirm specifics yet, we will announce details soon”. For Capcom, which is increasingly looking to pitch Street Fighter V to a competitive community, that is perhaps essential.
