Strictly Come Dancing 2015: Jay McGuiness denies relationship with Aliona Vilani

Newark-born Jay took to the floor on Saturday (3 October) night and showed off his newly-cut hair – which we LOVE!

The former boybander – who’s become more known for his long, frizzy locks than his hit singles recently – performed a graceful Waltz to Dee C Lee’s See The Day and it thrilled the judges, but it was his haircut that got viewers thrilled.

He continued, “Our last dance was really sensual, which was difficult because I’m not some sexy Latin hunk”.

In a pre-recorded film, we saw the nevous-looking singer get seven inches cut off his mane by a hairdresser.

Before the live show, Jay tweeted his 892,000 followers with the message: “I was 100% convinced I knew how to waltz before this week, @AlionaVilani, that was tough”.

Though not everyone was so thrilled with one viewer adding: “Jay looks like a confused labradoodle”.

Judge Darcey Bussell said: “I was blown away”.

Today, The Sun has published a recent interview with Jay, and while possibly referring to the hoo-hah the images yesterday created, he said, “I am single but I didn’t expect to meet someone on Strictly”.

“It was great – plus, footwork, frame, floorwork – Jay, you’re here to stay”.

Jay and Aliona, who shared a seat for most of the night while watching the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards at the Grovesnor Hotel on Monday, have a seriously “close bond” but it’s because they spend so much time together in rehearsals preparing for the live shows.
