Strictly Come Dancing 2015: Peter Andre joins the ballroom line-up
Australian singer and TV presenter Peter Andre has been named in the line-up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing series on BBC1.
Andre rose to fame during the 1990s with successful chart-topping singles Mysterious Girl and Flava.
She made her Strictly announcement on BBC Breakfast, and said: “It feels really exciting, it doesn’t even feel real yet, we haven’t started dancing or training or anything yet”.
In July he married medical student Emily McDonagh, who gave birth to their daughter, Amelia, last year, and the couple have delayed the second part of their honeymoon due to Andre’s schedule.
So far six other celebrities have been confirmed, they are: BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott, broadcaster Jeremy Vine, former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote, EastEnders actress Kellie Bright and newsreader Katie Derham.
The professional dancers were revealed earlier this year in April, but viewers have been kept in the dark over the novices set to be put through paces.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One for its 13th series in September 2015.
