Strictly Come Dancing: Daniel O’Donnell’s wife delighted with Kristina

Rugby star Ben, 36, meanwhile, was clad in far more casual attire for their rare evening outing, opting for faded jeans and a simple blue t-shirt and Nike trainers.

“They are both very supportive of each other’s careers so it will be inevitable that Ben comes along to Strictly at some point”.

Kristina – nicknamed the Siberian Siren – in particular seemed calm and looked lovingly up at Ben as they walked, flicking her blonde mane flirtatiously.

Majella also admitted she played a big part in encouraging Daniel to sign up to the show. It had been reported that she had gotten involved with him romantically after he split from his wife.

The loved-up pair – who met when they were partnered on the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing – first went public with their romance earlier this summer following Ben’s split from wife Abby.

Majella said far from fearing “the Curse of Strictly”, she was delighted that Daniel would be dancing alongside Kristina.

“The last two years have been the most traumatic thing to ever happen to me”.

No stranger to celebrity TV contests – she managed Lissan (South Derry GAA Club) in the fourth season of Celebrity Bainisteoir – she was interviewed this morning on Ryan Tubridy’s first show back on RTÉ Radio 1 since his return after five years on sister station 2FM. “I want people to know”.

She said: “It’s a year off and we are supposed to be having the time together, then this came up and how often do you get an opportunity like this in life – it’s an experience and I said go for it”.

His denials came despite the fact he was pictured with his arm around her while they travelled on the London Underground, but their friends have recently claimed they are in a relationship.

Kristina’s fellow professional dancer Vincent Simone also cheated on his pregnant girlfriend Susan Duddy in 2008 with Kristina.

Kristina previously opened up about her relationship with Ben in The Mail on Sunday.

In the group dance at the end of the show – in what Ms Daly said was “after two days’ rehearsal” – Daniel kept a low profile but could be seen dancing ably in a turqoise sequined shirt.

She said: “He gives so much to his fans – we want to give something back”.

‘Who knows what the future will hold.

“I just hope the luck of the Irish stays with me”.
