Strictly Come Dancing movie week: which dance was your favourite?
Bruno Tonioli said that he “out-done and out-danced [John] Travolta and everyone here tonight” before deeming it the “best dance ever”.
“Finally, the blockbuster everyone was waiting for!” cried judge Bruno Tonioli, who gave them 10 points.
All of which saw him saw up the leaderboard with a whopping great 37 out of 40 – with even Darcey sounding as though she would happily have given him a ten, explaining that her nine was only down to the fact that it was still week three.
Unfortunately for Carol Kirkwood she found herself at the bottom of the leader board with 17 points following her “limp, lame and very lacklustre” quickstep to Wash That Man from South Pacific.
Singer Daniel O’Donnell had a blast with a cha cha cha to Summer Nights from Grease. The pair are on a high again with 28 points.
Ainsley Harriott and Natalie Lowe don’t impress with their Happy Feet Boogie Wonderland, while Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice a sizzling performance with a James Bond rumba! “All that shaking your head really gets on my wit so I’m going to tell you the truth”. Instead the Strictly critics slam her and partner Anton du Beke for too much posing and little cha cha cha choreography in their Pretty Woman skit. Judge Craig said: “I thought the whole thing was absolutely gorgeous”.
Jeremy Vine performed a crowd-pleasing Charleston to Irving Berlin’s Top Hat. And despite it only being week two of the competition, she and partner Brendan Cole bagged a whopping 36 points for the routine.
Boxer Anthony Ogogo and Otlile Mabuse performed a striking paso doble to Survivor’s Eye Of The Tiger from Rocky.
The 37-year-old picked up generally good comments and her highest score of 29.
Following close behind were Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko, who were awarded 29 points for their American smooth routine to the soundtrack of Ghost.
The public vote is now open and hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will announce the unlucky two couples facing the dreaded dance-off in the results show. Sadly another couple will be leaving tomorrow night as the couples are reduced from 14 to 13.
