Strictly: Jamelia “the dance-off queen” out
The latest celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing has been booted off the show.
She also paid tribute to her partner Tristan: ‘I could not have had a better partner than Tristan.
After the public vote, she entered the dance-off against Peter Andre, who was at the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night.
Tickets for the Strictly Come Dancing Live show at First Direct Arena in Leeds are on 0844 248 1585.
Head judge Len voted against his fellow judges to keep Jamelia in the competition.
But EastEnders star Kellie Bright reckons her body has already taken a battering just by taking part in the show.
Ainsley says: “I loved my time on the TV series and am now really looking forward to getting out on the road; it’s going to be so exciting to feel the reaction when we step out on to those arena dance floors with all the other celebrity dancers and their professional partners”.
She and partner Tristan are doing a Quickstep to 1960s classic I’m A Believer by The Monkees in Blackpool.
The show featured two special music performances.
The TV star and singer has landed in the dreaded dance off every Sunday four times so far.
As Bruno agreed with Darcey and Craig, Peter and Janette were safely through to next week. He says: “I am thrilled that Strictly is returning to Blackpool once again this year – our yearly trip there is one of my highlights of the series!” “I’ve made the most wonderful set of friends, I’ve danced at the Tower Ballroom and I’ve danced with Tristan MacManus a million times”.
The popstar, who made it to Blackpool last week after battling Jeremy Vine in the bottom two, failed to impress viewers this week with her Quickstep.
Tristan added, “Jamelia’s done great and even tonight, it was a completely different dance we’ve just done and unfortunately someone else did a completely different dance as well, it was unbelievable!”
“I don’t think you can avoid a [record] fifth dance-off”, said Craig, “but your ballroom has come a long way”.
