Strictly winner Jay McGuiness was viewers’ most Wanted
Aliona Vilani has quit “Strictly Come Dancing” after winning the show with Jay McGuiness.
EastEnders star Kellie Bright has revealed her frustration with a tricky element in her Strictly Come Dancing show-stopping routine as she goes head to head in tonight’s final.
“You deserve it so much”, Jay said to professional partner Aliona, who is now the first professional to ever win the Glitterball Trophy a couple of times, after his win.
Her first glitterball win was with McFly’s Harry Judd.
“After 7 years on Strictly Come Dancing, as my finale, this has been my best Strictly experience ever by a long way!”
Meanwhile, former “Coronation Street” beauty Georgia didn’t seem disappointed by the news, insisting she just wanted to get to the final.
“I’m pleased as punch to be here in the final”, she beamed afterwards. “I’m glad I got to see it through to the end”.
Adele and One Direction’s performance also drew in the numbers, which were missing from the Saturday show, which was watched by a disappointing average of 5.9 million.
Jay and Aliona’s showdance opened with the pop star suspended in a harness. I’m in love with the show, I think it’s awesome.
However, partner Aliona Vilani said their showdance would contain a segment from that crowd-pleasing jive.
“It’s a shame people want to pick on any negative connotations”, she said.
“No matter what happens, you walk away from Strictly with a friend for life”.
Speaking on “Lorraine” this morning (21.12.15), he said: “A lovely TV executive called Louise gifted us some whisky so I was a little bit warm during that [performance]”.
The Wanted hunk leaned in ridiculously close to his professional dance partner after completing their routine, prompting some to question if the pair kissed. Kellie Bright and Kevin Clifton led the pack with a flawless 80 out of 80 for their efforts.
