Suits: Patrick J. Adams teases the threat Mike faces in prison
Those who want to watch it via streaming can access the show through USA Network’s website. That was born out of last year’s decision. Now the show’s back for a sixth cycle, and it’s unclear so far whether anything has changed for the better.
“So one of the ways we were able to figure out how to connect Mike to Harvey in particular [in Season 6] is if Mike is in prison with a guy Harvey put away, Harvey’s going to find out about that and Harvey’s going to want to do something about it. They’re going to sort of work together to sort of try and battle this guy”. Rachel tells her that anyone that thinks that is wrong and tells her that when she told her father to go to the church, she did it because she cared.
With the firm turning into a ghost town, there is plenty for the partners to solve. The season ended with every single partner and associate and random employee aside from the core group of characters (Harvey, Jessica, Louis, Donna and Rachel) fleeing to take other jobs and bringing most of their clients with them. One of the challenges with Mike in prison is that many of his scenes have to be with people in prison.
Mike is making friends in prison, his cellmate, Frank starts off by busting his balls about touching a picture in the cell and they start talking. The two men quickly bond over movies and their legal woes.
Lastly, Rachel and Mike’s relationship will slow down.
We took a huge chance sending Mike to prison at the end of season five. If you missed it we have a full and detailed recap, right here for you.
Meanwhile, back at Pearson Specter Litt, the firm has completely fallen apart. And I miss the interactions between Mike and Donna.
“Harvey and Louis don’t have as much conflict, maybe Harvey and Jessica don’t have as much conflict”. After some peer pressure and a mishap with the ashes, Louis finally agrees to smoke with them. That does the trick.
Tonight’s Season 6 Premiere episode of Suits kicks off with Michael Ross being checked into prison, they shave his head and read him the rules, then they tell him to strip naked for a cavity search and turn over his stuff. Mike be damned and Harvey be damned. That’s still an issue in this premiere, though perhaps toned down a bit. What course of action will each character make?
With Mike exposed and in prison, the original premise of the series is essentially irrelevant. I’m 98 percent sure we’re going to have a season seven.
Yes. I had an original idea that Mike should be in there with someone who is causing him trouble, and one of the writers came up with the idea that the guy giving Mike problems was someone Harvey had put in there.
But don’t expect him to be like the character he portrays. The shift allows the series to break out of its formula and explore new territory, although I suspect that Mike’s storyline with his prison counselor is not going to be too dissimilar from Harvey’s with his shrink last season. Speaking about Louis, Rafferty says, “Donna’s not working for Louis and I think that’s a much healthier dynamic for Donna and Louis”.
