Sumitra Mahajan adjourns Lok Sabha amid uproar over Vyapam scam, Lalitgate
Earlier, Congress party had planned to protest silently in parliament premises, but did not continue with the plan.
The Lok Sabha was already paralysed since Wednesday because of opposition demands for the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over the Lalit Modi controversy and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the Vyapam scam.
“I will disclose the name of the leader on the floor of the House”, Ms Swaraj added. The opposition appeared united. For the past two days, Opposition parties have been stalling the proceedings of Parliament pressing the demand for her resignation.

Swaraj gave detailed account of why she intervened and recommended help to Lalit Modi at an informal meeting of the BJP parliamentary party.
