Sundance Head is The Voice Season 11 victor
“The Voice” Season 11 capped off its finale with a two-night special that featured fantastic performances from the finalists, as well as special guests.
Teased in a preview for Season 12, “The Voice” returns in Feburary on NBC, with coaches Levine, Shelton, Keys, and Gwen Stefani, who held a coach’s chair on Seasons 7 and 9.
While some past winners have seemed to disappear after the season closed, Head promises not to be one of them. “I didn’t know which way it was gonna go, but I was ready for it either way”.
Watch Billy perform during The Voice Season 11 finals.
Sundance Head was named the victor of the NBC singing competition show with Billy Gilman finishing as the runner-up. All the finalists were talented and brilliant.
Head sang alongside coach Shelton and KISS in the finale, in addition to singing an awesome country version of Etta James’ “At Last”. Miley Cyrus was the only judge left unspoken for in the final four.
“The Voice” victor also thanked Shelton “for being such a great guy”. Alicia Keys was represented by 17-year-old powerhouse Wé McDonald and Blake Shelton by Head.
After two hours of big-name acts, from Stevie Wonder and Sting to John Legend and Bruno Mars, “The Voice” named its latest victor Tuesday night.
Each artist also brought back previously eliminated contestants for special group performances. It was a moment of truth for everybody. Teen sensation We McDonald came in third. I think NBC wants Billy Gilman to win this season, but I think America wants Sundance Head to win, based on those iTunes charts.
Where Sundance Head will fit when it comes to marketing his formidable talent remains to be seen, but his musical direction, he explains, has “fallen from the sky” in the last few years.
Blake Shelton did it again.
It was the fifth win for Blake. He gave tough competition to Billy Gilman.
What can you say about Sundance’s victory? He had an idea of what he was doing and had even played several gigs in Texas. And he had the edge heading into the Season 11 finale.
Two of Billy’s songs, “Because Of Me” and “My Way”, were right behind at No. 3 and No. 4.
