Sunday Package Delivery Keeps Mail Carriers Busy
The postal service says Monday is its busiest delivery day of the year.
Mail carriers are even working on Sundays leading up to the holidays to make sure all of the mail sent makes it on time.
According to representatives of the United States Postal Service (USPS), a total of 30 million packages will probably be collected and delivered today only, which means that the amount of mail being circulated will be around 10% more significant than the average.

The Postal Service’s recommended deadline for first-class mail to be delivered by the Christmas holiday has already passed, but Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express will still arrive before Santa does.
December 21 is the last day to mail a package priority mail to ensure it gets to its destination by Christmas.

“People can mail their cards and letters in the blue collection boxes, we have employees that go around and pick them up”, said Jeff Grendziak, USPS.

Because of the growing online shopping trend, USPS officials have turned to alternative ways to get the deliveries out on time.
