Sunderland snap up Yann M’Vila on loan
Yann M’Vila says he has the right attributes to be a success in the Premier League after he completed a season-long move to Sunderland.
“I’m very happy to be a Sunderland player”, he told Sunderland’s website.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder moved to Russian Federation from Rennes in 2013, and spent the second half of last season on loan in Serie A with Inter Milan before returning to Kazan. I had a very good feeling training with the team; every player welcomed me and the feeling was very good with them so I’m excited for the start of the season.
M’Vila, who has 22 caps for his country, began his football career at the age of six for ES Sains-Saint-Fussien and after spending three years at the club, in July 1999 he joined Amiens South Carolina.
M’Vila was all set to sign for Dynamo Moscow on loan before trashing his new house and buying an axe for protection after claims of extorting money were made against the Dynamo Head of Security.
“Many people spoke to me before I joined the club and I believe Dick Advocaat can improve me and help with my progression, and I also know the assistant coach Zeljko Petrovic very well”.
He becomes the club’s fifth major summer signing following earlier arrivals of Adam Matthews from Celtic, Jeremain Lens from Dynamo Kiev, Younes Kaboul from Tottenham Hotspur, and Sebastian Coates from Liverpool.
“I’m very happy to be a Sunderland player”, said M’Vila speaking on the Premier League club’s official webside.
