Suns 118, Clippers 104
“You could have 37, 35, but if you don’t win, it doesn’t matter”.
T.J. Warren matched his career best with 18 points for Phoenix, 14 in the second half.
Bledsoe had a great chance at that 10th assist in the final seconds when he found Jon Leuer inside, but the big forward missed the layup.
The Suns are trying to avoid losing for a third straight time as they face the Clippers. An unwarranted ejection, at least the way the Clippers saw it, was just too much to overcome.
The call was made after Griffin disagreed with the referees’ no-call as he went up for a shot.
Two more Suns players left the game midway through the fourth quarter.
Griffin and the Suns’ Mirza Teletovic were called for double-technicals with 7:02 to play in the first half. Then five minutes later, Griffin picked up his second technical after he complained about a non-foul call. “He didn’t say enough”.
Chris Paul has struggled with his shot, hitting just 41.9 percent and averaging 15.7 points and eight assists per game in 32.6 minutes per game.
Knight tied a career high with 37 points on the night (6-10 from 3) and the game quickly turned into a rout, with the exhausted and short-handed Clippers unable to keep up.
J.J. Redick has had trouble with his back before so this injury may be a bigger deal than initially thought. Jamal Crawford has seen his minutes curtailed with both Lance Stephenson and Paul Pierce in the mix, and his average has fallen to 10.1 points and 21 minutes a night. Not only is the former Duke Blue Devil one of the best three point shooters in the league but he has added a lot to his offensive game and he is also a very good team defender. He is averaging eight assists. Redick is the Clippers’ third-leading scorer at 14.8 points per game.
Phoenix also had a few injury issues as forward Markieff Morris left the game in the first quarter because of a sprained left knee and guard Ronnie Price departed in the second quarter because of a concussion. Paul has missed two of Los Angeles’ nine games. Jordan was 5 of 13 from the free throw line.

Doc Rivers hopes to have Griffin back Saturday against the Pistons, but it doesn’t appear he’ll have his starting backcourt for that matchup or the next one, as much as Rivers said Paul will want to play.
