Sunshine to linger in Lancaster County but temperatures to dip
High pressure is building across the west. Warmer than normal temperatures will continue through the rest of the week.
Another cold front will arrive on Friday with a few more showers and will be followed by the coldest air of the season, so far.
The National Weather Service in Boulder is calling for a high near 82 degrees in the city and sunny skies. Chance of rain is around 20 percent, forecasters said. Another cold front will move through Saturday with cooler air.
October is normally the month with the largest drop in temperatures, about 15 degrees between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31, Stachelski said.
Sunday also is expected to reach into the high 30s.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Skies will be mostly clear, with a cold overnight low temperature of 38 degrees.
Monday: Mostly sunny. High temperature around 63 degrees.
Overnight lows will be in the 40s until Saturday and Sunday nights when the thermometer is predicted to bottom out around 31 degrees.
Tuesday: Sunny. High temperature around 64 degrees, low temperature around 46 degrees.
Today, partly cloudy conditions and light winds are in the forecast along with high temperatures of 87 to 92 degrees near the beaches, 86 to 91 degrees in the valleys, 82 to 88 degrees in the mountains and around 95 degrees in the deserts. The high Saturday will be 57 and on Saturday it will be 63.
