Super Bowl 50: QBs Peyton Manning, Cam Newton at a glance
Super Bowl week is here, and Monday was the first time the media and fans heard from the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers since both teams arrived in the Bay Area for Super Bowl 50, which is Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
“I had no idea that was a bridge we were standing on”, Manning said.
The difference in Manning now compared to where he was earlier in the season lies in two causes: his health, and adapting to the offense’s role in the team.
“Well, I don’t run any touchdowns for one thing”, Manning said, via the Denver Post.
“My favorite part of preparation would have to be game time”, he said.
There were several moments during Monday’s Super Bowl media night when Manning, who was peppered with an hour’s worth of questions, said: “I have a peace about it”. In fact, like the Broncos with John Elway back in the late 90s, this team is so good, it went nearly two months without Manning and still managed to lock down the #1 overall seed in the AFC. “We’ve got an idea of when we’re gonna meet”.
“I don’t really know what I’d do”.
Asked to break down how he thinks Super Bowl 50 will play out, Curry gave a detailed answer.
Many people aren’t giving the Broncos a chance in this game because the Panthers have looked like a juggernaut recently. “They will come…. I’m a patient guy and I’m ready whenever the opportunity presents itself”. The NFL Network reported that Manning has told a few of his friends the Super Bowl will be his last game.
“I think it is one of the bravest things I have ever seen a guy do”, Rivera said.
Combine the ability to blitz with an already devastating front seven, and the Broncos seem to have the recipe to be just the second team this season to beat the Panthers. Every time that he scores a touchdown, he picks up the football and gives it to a young Panthers fan in the crowd.
Irvin says what’s great about this Super Bowl is its diversity, differences in culture, expression and style of play.
He’ll be matched up against All-Pro Von Miller and Pro Bowler DeMarcus Ware at different points during the game.
“He said ‘I told you I didn’t want you, I need you,”‘ Oher recalls with a laugh.
I firmly believe that football games are best when both the quarterbacks are stars, which is what we’ve definitely got Sunday.
