Super Bowl crew left out the Panthers when painting the end zones
Yahoo Sports’ Samuel Lam got a shot of the Broncos logo in the right end zone with the faded Broncos logo in the other end zone.
Eerie coincidences aside, the Super Bowl 50 grounds crew at least temporarily succeeded in doing what Denver hopes to accomplish one week from Sunday: keeping Carolina out of the end zone. The end zone at the top of the picture is faintly covered with a Broncos logo while the end zone at the bottom of the picture is more filled in.
Although the Panthers’ end zone is similar to what they had against the Cardinals in the NFC title game, the same can’t be said for the Broncos.
But the Panthers – who bookmakers have as favorites to win the big game on February 7 – need not be upset, as the error has already been corrected.
Not the far end zone in this photo from the stands. Because someone painted the wrong end zone.
The turf at Levi’s Stadium has had its issues in the two years the stadium has been open, but they have the new sod down for Super Bowl 50 already, and all seems well.
