Super Bowl Odds 2016: Seahawks, Packers Picked As Favorites

The New York Jets have made lots of headlines this offseason, replacing former head coach Rex Ryan with Todd Bowles and signing their former star cornerback Darrelle Revis from New England. A lot depends on the health of Carson Palmer, whose injury in 2014 sent the Cardinals in a late-season spiral.

Their PPG of 19.4 was 24 in the league. DeMarco Murray is now an Eagle and will be looking forward to facing his old team twice during the regular season.

The feeling here is that it’ll work well enough to provide the offense with enough of a cushion. Right now, Seattle may be the best organization in the NFL. Bruce Arians will win coach of the year for the third time in four years. The patriots lost some key defensive players, and Tom Brady has seemingly been in a legal battle with the National Football League since the day after the Bowl, but if there is one rule to follow, it’s never count out the Patriots.

That being said, Pete Carroll is a genius when coming to preparation and Russell Wilson is the unquestioned leader of the team.

The Patriots are among the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year along with the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. I have no idea… but they should be able to beat the Giants. He was the number one pick for a reason. “As I mentioned before, eleven out of the 49 Super Bowls were participated by these two franchises here in Oakland and San Francisco”.

With wild card berths and 16 games to prove your worth, it is more conceivable now for a team to recover from a poor start than ever before. The Buccaneers and Titans meet in the opening game of the season and each quarterback has been handed the starting job, despite a rocky preseason. The Rams might be forced to ride the arm of Foles for a majority of the season and that might be too much of a liability to overcome.

The end result was a more balanced offense. The Jaguars are an improved team that will just be overmatched by the Panthers and the Fudrucker’s night clean-up crew they’ll be fielding as wide receivers. Obviously, I am hoping that the Seahawks will be preparing for another Super Bowl and none of these players will actually play in the game.

In August, owner Jimmy Haslam said, “We’re not going to blow things up, OK?”

And that brings us to the quarterback, who’s about to enter a new chapter in his career. Previous year was abysmal. Since becoming the team’s No. 1 quarterback on November. 21, 2004, he has started every game for the Giants, a streak of 167 in a row. Navarro Bowman is back and if his preseason film is any indication, he is ready to resume his place as a perennial Pro-Bowler. Torrey Smith is once again teammates with the ageless Anquan Boldin and the last time they were together was Super Bowl 47. “At 5′ 11”, 230 pounds, Lacy is a bullish runner.

As always, the winning team is in caps. The question then is of Tomsula’s ability to coach a team to victory.

Dolphins (-4) over Washington: The D.C. football team may very well be the worst team in the NFL this season and Sunday’s opener against a Miami team poised to take a big step will be the first of many painful losses. A season of 8-8 seems about right.
