Super Mario Run Won’t Come to Android in 2016

There had been a feeding frenzy for its stock earlier this summer as the Pokemon GO craze kicked-off worldwide but the rally dissipated when the company confirmed it was a partner in the phenomenon, not the sole owner. Release dates are unknown at this point.

During the Apple live-stream event, there was a staged demo that showed what the app will be capable of on the Apple Watch.

It will be free to download but users will have to pay for the full game. The game allows players to walk their neighborhoods looking for “pocket monsters”, or digital characters, superimposed on a map on their phones of the area.

Apple said its Apple Watch Series 2, with a swim-proof casing, will be available in more than 25 countries starting on September 16.

But, one thing that piqued the interest of many was the announcement that gaming favorite, Mario would be making his debut on mobile platforms. “We also like people playing for a long time, and it’s hard to do that in VR”.

At the Apple launch event, Mr Miyamoto said to loud cheers from the audience, “Mario is running toward his next goal: iPhone”.

“I’m so happy to announce today he is coming to the App Store”, said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

A new iPhone feature which may ruffle some feathers is the removal of the headphone jack, requiring audio to be delivered via Apple’s proprietary “lightning” connector or by wireless.

The wireless earbuds come with a 5 hour battery life and a charger.

Still, while Apple Music is well behind, it’s also been around only a fraction of the time, and Apple is pushing its exclusives, such as albums available only to subscribers, as a way to woo more users.

Apple’s latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is faster and thinner.
