Superdelegates help Clinton expand her lead despite NH loss
Clinton’s lead shrank from her 48-point lead in a November Monmouth poll.
Days before the Democratic Nevada caucus, a new CNN/ORC poll finds Hillary Clinton with a slight edge over Bernie Sanders in the state, but the close may hinge on how voters think the candidates will help middle-class Americans and the economy.
1, the Nevada state party has sanctioned the use of a “game of chance” to break caucus deadlocks.
Gravis released a poll today that had Clinton up six points, earning a 53 percent share to Bernie Sanders’ 27 percent. He said, “There has to be forum where Sanders and Clinton both are on stage and talking specifically about a plethora of issues dealing with Black people – education, housing, economics, criminal justice, not throw the one-off question”. “What we did eight years ago was terrific; I hope we can meet that; that would be nice if we could”. Always has been. Always will be.
And Sanders could have more wins ahead.
Hillary Clinton is in Chicago today, raising money for her presidential run.
The Huffington Post’s Sam Stein attempted to come to Clinton’s defense and suggested, “Well, there’s a technical thing and I could be wrong here, I have to check that, but i believe the Nevada caucuses happen during the day not at night so that might explain why she is bolting and going to Texas at the evening”.
Because more than 80 percent of Nevada’s land is public, Sanders says there needs to be better cooperation from the federal and state governments along with local communities to make sure that land can be best utilized by all. Sanders’ move to deploy resources beyond those votes illustrates the momentum his campaign has gained and the fundraising he has commanded along with it. The Sanders campaign announced he raised $5.2 million in the 18 hours after the New Hampshire polls closed. In the unseen battle for these party insiders, Clinton has an overwhelming lead.
“They can support any candidate unlike the pledged delegates who are allocated on the results of an individual race”, says Middlebury Political Science Professor Matthew Dickinson.
Then there’s what’s called superdelegates. But, this is the Democratic Party.
If you remember, the Black Lives Matter movement received a nod from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to host a presidential town hall focused on issues of racial justice. This is an added challenge for campaigns trying to get their supporters out to caucus.
“There’s no dislike of Hillary at all”, Bryant said.
Real Clear Politics shows that Sanders leads Donald Trump, who at this point appears the most likely pick by Republican voters, by a 10-point margin, 50 to 40 percent.
But not anymore. Bernie Sanders has thrown a formidable challenge before the former secretary of state and has emerged as a dependable candidate for Democratic nomination. Despite not endorsing a candidate, the union has fought for and successfully won the right for casino workers to vote on the premises of their workplace.
