‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, cast tease
The upcoming season will bring the brothers back together to fight against the Darkness.
The Supernatural panel at San Diego Comic-Con was one of the convention’s most laugh-filled affairs, but a stark moment for a worthy cause was what really stole the show.
“We’re really proud of last season”, he added.
Padalecki’s co-star, Jensen Ackles, also described the moment during an interview. This season is all about cleaning up and getting rid of the Mark of Cain. Both Dean and his brother (and the Impala) were engulfed in the Darkness’ smoky tendrils and weird electricity when we saw them last. “It’s a pre-biblical story that’s never been told”, Carver said. What I like about where we’re going is – the brothers are united [in a way] similar to Season 1 when we were looking for dad. “I’m excited to get back to that original format”. On the other hand, the tough part of Demon Dean was how it changed his relationships with the other characters and “having to build an entirely different relationship” with them. “I love Sam Winchester; we’ve been pretty close for over a decade now!” “It’s been an awesome journey”.
Padalecki was able to resume his normal schedule in June, just in time for a Gilmore Girls reunion at the ATX Television Festival, but fans wanted to let the star know that they still supported him.

The actors, clearly uncomfortable with adding their input, opted to push back from the table, or turn their chairs to face away from the crowd. Carver said, “That’s an excellent question”.
“I hope that this campaign, while raising money for a wonderful charity, can also raise awareness about issues that affect more people than we know”, Padalecki wrote on the campaign’s page. She’s an absolutely beloved character in the show.
According to Padalecki, he did go home, but he didn’t take the recommended five days off. Instead he returned to work the next day, and between production and appearance commitments, worked constantly every year since.
“And I, In the past, have had my own struggles of not (being) so happy with where I am in life, which is unusual and I think it goes to show”.
After Carver joked, “And I’d like to thank everyone up here for the support”, Ackles did point out that Day was, originally, intended to be a one-off guest spot, and they were “thankful for the time we had her”.
When asked about the themed episodes Supernatural is so well-known for, Dabb teased that episode 4 will be fun in that same vein. After the first question from the audience, the panel was taken back as the majority of the room held up lit candles and yelled out Always Keep Fighting.
“It’s still humbling to me, you know?”
