Superstar Adele has a new album, and it’s not available for streaming
Beyoncé held out for a year before releasing her 2013 self-titled album to streamers.
The singer admitted that she wasn’t originally sure she’d return to music, because she didn’t think fans “would like the music she made” after the success of her second album, 21.
“Jenny” is the last to perform and after finally gathering herself, she begins to sing “Make You Feel My Love”.
However, the 27-year-old star – whose new album “25” is out next week – tries to take Angelo with her as often as possible when she’s travelling.
Predictions are that she’ll cash in on the move, and sell as many as 3.5 million copies of “25” within the first week.
A few music executives said on Thursday that it was possible Adele could decide to add her album to streaming services after a “window” that could be as short as a week. News that “25” would not be streaming on the music site.
“Most artists have no choice but to opt for streaming and accede to the terms set by the services”. However, Spotify’s growth now seems to be dependent on paid subscription.
With both strong CD and digital sales, “25” is projected to break NSYNC’s record of biggest-selling opening week in Nielsen SoundScan history, Vulture reported.
“Hello:” This song was the first single released by Adele.
This is despite the fact that the first single from the album, “Hello”, is already widely available on streaming services, having been downloaded 1.1 million times in its first week.
It really has been a long time coming as fans have had to wait one hell of a long time for new music from Adele, but it has been worth it in many ways as 25 is such a ideal album. In 2000, the boy band sold a whopping 2.4 million copies of their album “No Strings Attached” in a week.
Yohana Desta at Mashable writes that “The wildly anticipated third release delivers what all Adele fans want – big vocals, ballads (heartbroken and otherwise) and the classic soundscape, culled from vintage pop and soul music”.
The 11-track album is not a far stretch from “21”, the singer’s best-selling 2011 album that helped her reach almost impossible heights in contemporary music.
Singer Jewel had in 2010 pulled a similar prank for a amusing or Die video, which showed her wearing a prosthetic nose and pretending to be someone else while singing her own songs at a karaoke bar.
