Sushant Singh Rajput walks out of Half Girlfriend; Arjun Kapoor considered!

“Citing dates problem, Sushant Singh Rajput walks out of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Half Girlfriend” which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel of the same name.

And now according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sushant has opted out of the much-talked about film. Even, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Shahid Kapoor were approached by Mohit Suri but the things didn’t work out.

Well, rumors making rounds suggest that handsome actor Arjun Kapoor is being considered for the role in the film. He quoted to Mirror, “It’s unfortunate”.

The actor impressed Mohit Suri by dropping at the director’s residence and impressed the director by enacting one of the scenes from the book. “I had committed the dates (for the film) long back and hence, had no option but to pull out of the project”.

“Half Girlfriend”, a rural-urban love story, is about a boy from Bihar, who does not speak English well and gets attracted to a rich girl from Delhi. Sushant will co-star with Dilwale actress Kriti Sanon in the Dinesh Vijan- directed movie. I have met Mohit and it’s a script that I have really liked. Kriti has reportedly been roped in to play the female lead in Half Girlfriend as well. You’ll find other items that require to become determined and I have read it this past year although I have also released the book. “There is nothing locked right now so I feel it’s not right for me to talk about it”.
