Suspect in Alberta triple homicide shot by RCMP, no one else hurt
RCMP confirm that three people found in a home in Edson Sunday were murdered and the search is on for a suspect.
Edson RCMP said officers were trying to execute an arrest warrant for Mickell Clayton Bailey, 19, of Edson at the time.
Police say no one else was hurt during the incident.
An armed man wanted in connection with three homicides at a rural home near Edson, Alta., was shot by police Tuesday when officers tried to arrest him.
Police are not releasing the location of where Bailey was shot.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been called to the scene to investigate the incident.
Insp. Gibson Glavin said the deaths were not a murder-suicide.
RCMP major crimes investigators and other Mounties were speaking with people in the area west of Edmonton looking for leads and clues, he said.
