Suspect in Kansas shooting had been served protection order
Britton said he did not see the gunman shoot him, but he did see him shoot two other people.
Hinson, who said she had known Higbee for over a decade, said he “worked long, hard hours to take care of his family”, and treated his fiancee “like a queen, as he was raised to do”. In addition to three people killed, 14 were wounded counting two shot as he drove to the plant.
In Kansas, he had a misdemeanor conviction in a 2008 fighting or brawling case and various traffic violations from 2014 and 2015. Both guns were traced to a woman with whom shooter Cedric Ford used to be involved.
Sarah Hopkins, 28, is accused of giving Cedric Ford a semi-automatic rifle and 40 caliber handgun. Court records did not indicate if she has an attorney.
