Suspect in Montana family shooting is Wyoming 18-year-old
The woman suffered a bullet wound to her head and lower back and was taken to a Billings hospital, family members said. They went to a store to get gasoline from him, but it was closed, upon returning, Deniz opened fire on the family killing Jason and Tana while wounding Jora, that’s according to family spokesman Bryce Hugs.

“At this time, there is no further danger to the community”, said Todd Palmer, Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Salt Lake City Division. She was given a ride back to her home and returned to the scene of the shooting with some family members.
A report from the Park County (Wyoming) Sheriff’s Office said the Park County Communications Center received a report at 10:30 a.m. about the shooting and asking law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for a 2006 silver/gray Pontiac G6 with Montana registration wanted in connection with the double homicide. He added “The victim that was transported to the emergency room really doesn’t know what’s going on”.
The Shanes leave two sons and five daughters behind. Helena National Forest officials say that although the vandalism isn’t rampant, it’s still costing taxpayers thousands of dollars every year to deal with.The Hellgate Gulch pictographs near Helena were recently discovered scratched up with the damage visible on the weathered rock surface.
Law enforcement from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Montana Highway Patrol, Big Horn County Sherriff’s Department and the FBI responded to a 911 call about the shooting.
A helicopter also assisted in the search for the suspect.
Around two hours later, Jesus Deniz was arrested by Wyoming State Troopers close to the town of Meeteetse.
The Park County Wyoming Sheriff’s Office released his booking photo Thursday morning.
He is being held in “investigatory custody for another agency”, Mathess said.
