Suspended US Secret Service Officer Shot Dead
According to the Washington Post, D.C. police said they were looking for three men in connection with Baldwin’s shooting, but had no other description.
Police responded to the 4700 block of 1st Street at approximately 2:52 p.m. on December 15 for reports of a shooting.
Authorities said Baldwin returned to the home after police arrived and asked to talk to the woman.
“The Secret Service is aware of this information”. He was put on leave and had his security clearance suspended in April following his arrest on a felony charge of first-degree attempted burglary and destruction of property.
Secret Service spokeswoman Nicole Mainor said that Baldwin had been assigned to the agency’s uniform division.
Police asked him where his service weapon was and he pointed to his vehicle where they recovered a loaded Sig-Saur hand gun, according to court filings.
Baldwin admitted to kicking the door but denied smashing the windows, the paper reported.
Baldwin appeared in DC Superior Court Tuesday for a status hearing just hours before he was killed.
Arthur Baldwin, 30, who was suspended over the domestic incident earlier this year, was killed on Tuesday, the agency confirmed. He was scheduled for trial in February, the AP said.
