Swansea sack manager Bob Bradley
He then became the first American fired by a Premier League team on December 27, 2016.
Bradley previously served as the manager of the United States national team from 2007 until 2011 when he was replaced by Jurgen Klinsmann.
It’s not all been Bradley’s fault, of course. I think he had a 10-game spell where it didn’t go quite well for him but a new manager gaining experience, that happens in the Premier League.
Bradley is hoping to add to his squad in January as Swansea attempt to climb out of the relegation zone.
The Hammers have underachieved this season but two consecutive victories have lifted Slaven Bilic’s men to 13th on the Premier League table.
Bradley arrived at Liberty Stadium with a strong reputation after spells at clubs in Norway and France, as well as stints as coach of the USA and Egypt national teams during his 35-year coaching career. Sometimes things come out through who knows?
Bradley joined Swansea on October 3rd after the firing of Francesco Guidolin. Giggs has it, Bradley does not and that is why he was doomed to failure.
Giggs was player-manager at Old Trafford following David Moyes’ sacking, but has not yet held a full-time managerial position.
Kaplan and Levien should have known this.
Alan Curtis, first-team coach, and Paul Williams, assistant manager, have been placed in charge on a temporary basis. Swansea produced two wins and two draws during Bradley’s reign, with 29 goals conceded.
The Bradley era at Swansea started with cautious optimism.
According to a report from ESPN FC, which cites sources close to the club’s owners, the decision to fire Bradley was one made with “great reluctance” in part because of his determination.
