Dion launched into an emotional rendition of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne a L’amour” as a string orchestra played and images of Paris flashed in the background.
Whether you wanted to see it or not, Meghan Trainor’s full on make-out session with Charlie Puth happened right at the end of their performance of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” and “Marvin Gaye“.
One Direction may have debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts behind Justin Bieber, but they won the top award – artist of the year – at Sunday’s American Music Awards. If they say someone like Sam Smith made the best record of the year (he won earlier this year for his song “Stay With Me”), viewers most likely assume a lot of music industry knowledge is going into that decision. While Taylor Swift won the Pop/Rock Album award for “1989”, bagged herself Song of the Year for “Blank Space” AND Favourite Artist – nice one Tay-Tay!
Minaj also went home with two gongs for favourite rap or hip-hop artist and favourite rap or hip-hop album for The Pinkprint. During her speech Grande thanked her grandmother Marjorie who accompanied her to the ceremony. I turn Bak & look @ her.
