Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization announced for PS4 and PS Vita
A stage event at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015 event revealed on Sunday that Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online light novel series is inspiring a new anime film.
First, there was a teaser shown during Tokyo Game Show in Japan last September.
The story takes place within “Sword Art: Origin”, a new MMO modeled after the world of Aincrad. More information is promised on Thursday in the 600th issue of Dengeki Playstation. The servers of the death game “Sword Art Online” are the basis for “Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization” for PS4 and PS Vita with its setup served as research and development.
Along with the game a Special Edition PS4 was also announced themed around Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization.
On the same day Bandai Namco is also releasing Sword Art Online: Game Director’s Edition. Priced at 42,980 yen ($357.60), pre-orders will be accepted starting October. There’s a high chance that this game will arrive in North America in the near future, seeing how Sword Art Online games are being released here.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization does not yet have a release date.
