Sword-Wielding Man In Hockey Mask Arrested

Cops were called to Hornsey Road in Holloway over reports of a gang of youths patrolling the street.

Police in London arrested a man who was walking around Islington wearing a Friday the 13th-style mask, while carrying a samurai sword.

The 21-year-old man was stopped by officers who found the blade in a bag he was carrying.

The suspect, in a mask similar to that worn by the serial killer Jason Vorhees in the Friday the 13th horror films, ran off when approached by officers.

Metropolitan police later tweeted a photograph of the weapon found in the bag.

“On seeing the officers the person ran off”.

When they eventually tracked him down, they allegedly discovered a Samurai sword inside the bag. On seeing the officers, he ran off and was chased.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and taken into custody.

“Enquiries by Islington Borough officers continue”.
