The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will be heading to Silicon Valley this weekend to meet with tech executives about how best to capitalize on the internet revolution going on there.

Pakistan Foreign Affairs and National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz said on Tuesday that talks with India would be possible only when the issue of Kashmir is included on the agenda.

However he blamed the centre along with the state government for interfering with the NSA-level talks by holding up the separatist leaders ahead of their meeting.

“We were encouraged by the early constructive interaction between the leaders of India and Pakistan earlier this year”, in Russian Federation, State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters Monday.

In a statement, the State Department said, “We are disappointed the talks will not happen this weekend and encourage India and Pakistan to resume formal dialogue soon”.

The minister said the meetings plan had been agreed by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan’s Nawaz Sharif when they met in the Russian city of Ufa last month.

Prime Ministers of Pakistan and India had agreed in Russian town of Ufa that all outstanding issues between the two countries will be discussed at talks between two National Security Advisers.

After going through several now-on, now-off moments, the NSA talks between India and Pakistan were finally called off on Saturday, with both sides sticking to their positions.
