Russia’s Interfax news agency on Saturday reported that the four countries would establish a joint information centre in the Iraqi capital which could be used in the future to coordinate military operations against Islamic State.
In an interview with France24 television, Abadi accused the U.S.-led coalition of a lack of support and questioned the will of Western leaders to defeat the Islamic State.
He said that Russia’s intervention had further “complicated” the crisis, while suggesting that Britain should extend its own bombing campaign – now only operational against IS in Iraq – to Syria.
