Weld County’s forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Burson and coroner Mark Ward report the former actress died from hypoventilation caused by a morphine overdose. Amanda was found dead in her Colorado apartment in early July.

Amanda Peterson’s cause of death has been confirmed as an accidental overdose. Traces of marijuana were also found in her system.

Peterson left Hollywood in 1994 to return to her home state of Colorado. They said they were investigating the cause of her death. Amanda Peterson was no longer active in the entertainment industry at the time of her passing.
