The director of sport of newly-promoted Serie A side Bologna has revealed that he would be interested in bringing Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli back to Italy.

Liverpool, though, can always be counted on to look to strengthen their youth ranks these days, and they look set to be on the verge of officially signing Brazilian starlet Allan Rodrigues de Souza.

The 25-year-old is understood to be undergoing a medical at City ahead of a proposed £8million switch, less than a week after publically committing his future to Villa.

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure believes that the addition of Christian Benteke will make the Reds title contenders next season.

“But until that happens he is an Aston Villa player and we are all very pleased about that”.

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Aston Villa over the payment terms for the £32.5million (€30.5m) transfer of Christian Benteke.

Liverpool had been heavily linked with Benteke and are reportedly readying their own bid after sealing Raheem Sterling’s £49m exit to Manchester City.
