The Dark Souls 3 closed beta, or stress testing phase as they are calling it, will be held on three days for three hours each. According to the video game company’s publisher, Bandai Namco, the much anticipated action-packed game will be released on April 2016.

The said installment is set to launch for the next generation consoles of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Though “Bloodborne” is a different franchise, “Dark Souls III” borrows some elements from it as well.

The PlayStation Experience is returning once more and is moving away from its Las Vegas venue, where the event admittedly experienced some first-time jitters (that Wikipedia page is, err, short), and changing to San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center.

“It is true that it will be a turning point but it’s still not the final game for the Dark Souls series”. Unlike Dark Souls II, for which Miyazaki had a supervisory role, the franchise creator is directly involved with Dark Souls III as the game’s director.

Aside from today’s trailer reveal, it’s understood that From Software will be bringing a playable of Dark Souls III when Gamescom kicks off for the public on Thursday, August 6. Ashen wastelands cover much of the land, the Dark and the dragons of old are returning,...
