Attackers are actively exploiting a vulnerability in all supported versions of Windows that allows them to execute malicious code when targets mount a booby-trapped USB on their computers, Microsoft warned Tuesday in a regularly scheduled bulletin that patches the flaw.

The vulnerability has also been fixed in Firefox ESR 38.1.1.

The campaign was uncovered by Mozilla security lead Daniel Veditz in a blog post.

Basically, that means the attack relies on Firefox’s PDF Viewer, so versions of the browser that don’t have it, like on Android, aren’t susceptible.
