The National Disaster Management Authority issued a warning of high floods in the Indus River and heavy rains which could inundate several low-lying areas in the northeastern Punjab and southern Sindh provinces in the next couple of days.
As said by reports, at least 100 villages and settlements have been inundated around Layyah, which faced a medium-level flood on the banks of the River Indus.
Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm “Egay” was estimated based on Aparri Doppler radar and all available data in the vicinity of Mt. Cagagangan, Cagayan (18.2°N, 121.9°E).
