Samsung even held its special Samsung Unpacked 2015 preview event on August. 13, about a month before its normally scheduled September launches, for its new S6 Edge+ and Note 5 flagship smartphones so it can try to beat Apple in the marketplace.

For $1, iPhone users can try out Samsung’s latest releases – the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5, along with the slightly older Galaxy S6 Edge – for an entire month.

Unlike Apple Pay, Samsung’s solution also contains magnetic secure transmission (MST) technology, which allows users to pay by simply holding their phone to any payment terminal with a magnetic strip reader for credit cards.

Samsung have released a new phone cover for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5, which comes with a keyboard, very much like the ones you’ve seen on BlackBerry handsets.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ have been launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop onboard.

The new edge+ has a screen half an inch bigger than the previous model – at 5.7 inches – giving it a larger display than the iPhone 6 Plus.
