While the content of the emails is relatively mundane enough – CNN reports it was simply Petraeus and Clinton getting to know each other – the problem here is with timing.

In December 2014, Clinton gave the State Department copies of more than 30,000 emails she sent and received using a private account during her four years as secretary.

The discovery appears to contradict Clinton’s sworn statement that she had turned over all the email from her private server to the State Department.

Clinton has previously claimed that she used the private server, clintonemail.com, throughout her tenure as nation’s secretary of state.

Clinton tried joking about it earlier this summer. In a shift in tone, Clinton apologized this week for using the server, in an interview aired Tuesday on ABC News. “Like with a cloth or something?”

The arrangement insured that no taxpayer money was spent on setting up the server that was used by the Clinton family and some of their closest advisers, the aide said.

Platte River Networks, which managed Clinton’s server and personal email network after she left the State Department, has indicated it convey – or “transferred” – emails from the unique server in 2013, in accordance to The Washington Examiner.

Clinton has said that she first learned about the seriousness and depth of the substance abuse problem in New Hampshire and nationally by speaking with Granite Staters in Keene early in her campaign.

More than a quarter of Clinton’s work emails have now been released, after she provided the State Department with 30,000 pages of documents previous year.
