Multiple outlets reported that the Panthers and Chicago Bears agreed to terms that sent Jared Allen to Carolina in turn for a first round draft pick.

The deal is pending a physical, which Allen is expected to take Tuesday.

Allen, 33, is the NFL’s active leader in career sacks with 134, and 18.5 of them – more than against any other team – have come against Lions quarterbacks.

Per ESPN stats, his most productive years were the six seasons he played under the Minnesota Vikings, specifically in the 2011 season when he posted his career-high record of 22 sacks.

The Chicago Bears kept dealing Monday night, agreeing to trade linebacker Jonathan Bostic to the New England Patriots for a sixth-round pick.
